Who are the seminars for?
This seminar is open to anyone who is interested, including physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, athletic trainers, occupational therapists, osteopaths, and medical doctors. Attendees can expect to dive into great detail about the fundamental principles of our system & how they can integrate it with their own unique approach.
Our IKN Level 1 Approach course integrates the interactions between the nervous system, the anatomy, and the environment into a robust assessment & treatment/training approach to help you restore real world movement qualities in those experiencing pain and/or movement difficulties. Global interactions between the three key body regions (lower limb, upper limb, and midline) will be explored first, and assessment & treatment/training strategies will be covered to identify the neuromechanical behavior of each region & it's capacity to distribute internal & external forces. Local interactions within each body region will then be explored to identify load sharing capacities. Emphasis will be placed on targeting the key features of our neuromechanical system (neural, muscular, joint, attentional), with each feature being highlighted across all assessment and treatment/training strategies. Treatment sequencing and case study insights will be emphasized throughout the course to ensure the content can be incorporated into your own clinical approach.
